✨ Start Highlighting the Problem
Interact with the wizard statue in the courtyard northwest of Bramblemead Valley. The three initial dialogue answers are all wrong. Reach the vault below the courtyard from the east cliff and southeast lakeside entrance, then search it for the real password.
Bring healing supplies and a ranged option for the traps and guardians. Inside, turn left in the first room, pass the arrow traps, continue north through the guardian rooms and use Windstep to reach the elevated southwest path in the rat room. The statue at the end gives the password Pthentorok.
Charge the Mysterious Orb
Return to the courtyard statue and give the correct password. It gives you an uncharged Mysterious Orb. Use Windstep to reach the three tower pedestals around the courtyard and place the orb on each one:
- Reach the southern tower from the large rock in front of the statue.
- Use the boxes and barrels to reach the tower behind the statue.
- Jump to the nearby pillar, then Windstep again to reach the eastern tower.
Return the fully charged orb to the statue to complete the quest and unlock the Staff of Light recipe.
Craft the Staff of Light
Use a Smithing Forge with:

The charged orb unlocks the recipe but is not one of the crafting ingredients. If the recipe remains locked, confirm the quest completed after the final hand-in rather than farming more materials.

Find processing routes in Crafting, Smithing, and Production Stations, prepare materials with Mining and Gathering Locations, and review dodge and backstep timing before taking the staff into combat.
